For Somme day I grabbed my camera and went out to a local poppy field where i took some photo's. It was a really nice sunny evening so i managed to get some great pictures.
On the 1st July I spent the day creating a new logo for my business and this is what I came up with:
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be your to hold high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, through the poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

I then went to the Bride & Groom's house in the evening where they held a buffet and had live music.
